ANIMATED CONCEPT:

THE BORDER TO ANDALAR



 An animated concept piece. I wanted to draw and then bring the illustration to life in place, adding movement to build atmosphere.

It shows a lone guard at the edge of his realm, looking out over an icy sea towards the horizon. The mood is cold, dark and isolated as he waits for whatever danger might come.

The project was also a workflow test: drawing and layering in Photoshop, then animating those layers to see how far a still illustration could be pushed into something more alive.
